De Cubaans-Amerikaanse hairstylist Oribe Canales werkte eind jaren ’80 nauw samen met fotograaf Steven Meisel en make-upartiest François Nars. Hij verwierf bekendheid door zijn extravagante werk voor de shows van o.a. Chanel en Versace en werd de vaste hairstylist van celebs als Jennifer Lopez, Helmut Newton en Mario Testino. In 2008 vertaalde Oribe zijn visie en vakmanschap in een luxe collectie haarproducten. Uitganspunt is dat gezond haar een voorwaarde is voor sexy, glamourous styling. Oribe combineert de mooiste natuurlijke ingrediënten met de nieuwste technologieën.
