Jao Brand was founded in 1997 by American Gale Mayron, the daughter of a chemist, out of her belief in healthy, natural and multifunctional beauty products made for lasting use. Her motto is simple: ‘The less you buy, the less you consume, the less you throw away.’ Mayron uses only natural ingredients, none of which are tested on animals or contain petroleum or artificial fragrances and colourants. She also gives careful thought to the packaging: every product has an identity of its own.
