Description

Yerbamate brings a handful of notes back through every layer of the composition: green notes, tea and grass. The fragrance opens with juicy citrus fruits and sweet ylang-ylang; here the grass is still in full bloom, crisp and fresh. At the heart, we meet the drier side of grass, thanks to lavender and hay. This dryness gains further strength in the base, where patchouli, vetiver and oakmoss enchant with their pronounced earthiness. A mysterious powdery note softens and refines the whole. Wearing this fragrance, you truly feel as though you are lying in the heather. You feel the sun on your skin, hear the butterflies and the bees, and smell grass in all its facets: from green to dry and withered, from crushed to sun-scorched. Lorenzo Villoresi works from his atelier in the family home in Florence, with a beautiful view over the river Arno. In the building next door is a knowledge centre with a museum, a scent garden and education about the world of fragrance and perfume.

Lorenzo developed his love of the art of perfumery during his many travels through the Middle East, where he discovered a rich world of scent: herbs, spices, exotic flowers and plants. In 2006 he became the first independent perfumer to win the prestigious Prix François Coty. His best-loved and best-known creation is Teint de Neige, the ultimate powdery perfume.
