Founded in Paris in 1854, Mariage Frères is a distinguished French tea house. Nicolas Mariage travelled on behalf of King Louis XIV to Persia, the East Indies and India to establish trade agreements, while his brother Pierre visited the islands of Madagascar as a private envoy. Three centuries later, the Mariage brothers opened their doors to retail, offering quality teas from around the world.

In Paris, Mariage Frères became a pioneer with its own tea salon and brunch, growing into a much-loved meeting place for world travellers and creative minds. In their iconic tea shop in the Marais, the history is still tangible: the original tea chests, antique scales, scoops and counters remain in use, giving the space a charm all of its own. On stepping inside, you are greeted by the scent of tea that has subtly perfumed the woodwork and walls over the decades.
